# Sealtrove > One capsule for your wedding, shower or birthday. Guests scan a QR and write a letter with no account. Each letter is sealed until the date you choose. Sealtrove keeps one capsule of guest letters per event: a wedding, a baby shower, a birthday or another occasion. The host signs in with a passkey (WebAuthn; no password, no email address), names the capsule, gives the event date and chooses an open date: the 1st, 5th or 10th anniversary, 18 years on for a shower, or a custom date, at most 10 years after the event (21 for a shower). Guests scan a QR code or open a link and write a letter of up to 3000 characters with no account, until 23:59 on the last day for letters (7 days after the event by default, at most 90) in the capsule's time zone. Every letter is sealed on the server the moment it is sent: before 09:00 on the open date the server shows a count and nothing else, to anyone, the host included, in every page and download. On the open date the capsule becomes a keepsake page to read, print and download (JSON, and CSV for upgraded capsules). Printables are made in the browser: an A5 QR sign, table cards 4 to a page, and an envelope pack with one letter a page folding into a DL envelope. Capsules and letters are kept in a Cloudflare D1 database until the host deletes them; the guest link secret, session ids and the recovery code are stored only as SHA-256 digests. ## Tool - [Sealed guest letters for weddings, showers and birthdays](https://sealtrove.com/): One capsule for the whole event: guests scan a QR and write with no account, every letter is sealed on the server, and the capsule opens on the date the host chose. ## How it works - [How a sealed letter capsule works](https://sealtrove.com/how-it-works/): The rules in the order you meet them: making a capsule, the dates and time zone, guests writing, the seal, the open date, printing, limits and deletion. ## Reference - [FAQ](https://sealtrove.com/faq/): Reading early, guests editing, long seals, accounts, partners, how many letters, changing the date, opening time, photos, printing, what the seal is and deleting. - [About](https://sealtrove.com/about/): What the site is, what it is not, and who it is for. ## Policies - [Privacy](https://sealtrove.com/privacy/): Exactly what is stored on the server, where, for how long, and how to export and delete it. - [Terms of use](https://sealtrove.com/terms/): What the site can be relied on for, the letters, acceptable use and support. ## Pricing Free. No paid plan is offered at present. Each capsule holds 50 letters, 2 capsules may wait to open at one time, and every printable and download is on. ## What it is not - Not affiliated: Sealtrove is not affiliated with any venue, planner, stationery brand or time-capsule service. - Not locked with a key the host holds: sealed means the server will not show a letter before the date. - Not a promise beyond what a website can keep: hosts should download the letters once they open. - Not a chat or guest book: guests cannot read letters, their own included, and are never emailed. ## Optional - [Full text of every page](https://sealtrove.com/llms-full.txt): every page as Markdown, in one file. - Support: socialreminderinfo@gmail.com
